A deep pewter tone ring engraved with runes, in excellent condition. The exact composition is unknown though we believe it to possibly be stainless steel, possibly over an alloy base.
KNOWN HISTORY
From the mists of time, I present a special piece meant to transform one’s life via the mysterious world of ancient Viking Magick. A practice where the physical and spiritual realms interconnect, it is a practice where nature guides and the wisdom of the ancients holds the keys to influencing and manipulating the strings of fate and the energies around us to create change.
The heart and soul essence of Viking Magick is known as Seiðr, a multifaceted practice of magick, divination, and ritual that is practiced by women (usually, women, but not 100% of the time) known as Völvas or Seiðkona, who hold a soul-deep understanding of and interconnectedness with both Nature and Spirit; the natural world and the spiritual realm. Such mastery of Seiðr enables them to communicate with spirits, to manipulate the strings of fate, influence forces of nature, and provide guidance and magickal assistance for those seeking their help and support.
Serving as advisors, guides, coaches, healers, and intermediaries between the physical and spiritual worlds, Völvas played a crucial role in Viking society, as their mastery of Seiðr gave them access to such knowledge and insights that were not readily available to others.
It wasn’t just personal practice either for Volvas; their practice was deeply woven in the tapestry of Viking culture and society. From making political decisions to ensuring safe voyages, manipulating the weather, serving as counselors, protecting/guiding the community, or mediating disputes, they were highly valued, essential members of Viking society and played a critical role in maintaining social harmony.
Now, back then, male practitioners often faced social stigma, as it was primarily a role for females. The concept of honor and masculinity in Viking culture was so strong that men who practiced would often be labeled “argr” – basically meaning effeminate; someone who had forsaken their traditional masculine roles. This could have a devastating effect on their reputation, their ability to form alliances or finding a marriage partner.
However, the wisdom and skills of Völvas were called upon by Odin himself many times when that of his own would not suffice.
Völvas have personal spirits called Fylgja throughout their lives. They are essentially what one could refer to as a spirit guide, but they are so much more since Völvas are so skilled in mediating between the physical and spiritual realms that their ability to communicate with and gain insights from their Fylgja is unparalleled.
Altogether, the Magick of Völvas is all encompassing, in every aspect. From the preparation, their seat, the herbs gathered with reverence, the rituals performed, the Galdr (Magickal chants, incantations, or songs), Runes, their roles in Viking culture and society all of it relies upon the respect of the spirits and the environment, and their intention.
This piece was created by a close source of ours, twins from Norway with deep heritage roots to the land who are both Völvas, which utilizes Ancient Viking Magick - primarily Seiðr, including Galdr and Runes. It is a transformative piece which encompasses one’s life in its Magick.

You may wear this, keep it close to you in a pouch, pocket, purse etc. Note though that you do not need to physically keep it near you are all times. However, at least a few minutes of skin contact per day during your meditations is always highly recommended, even if It is the act of meditation in itself. Set aside at least a few minutes for simple meditative use each day, to think of the future you desire, the future you deserve. You can do this at night before bed, or in the morning as you’re waking up, before getting up and starting your day. Other than that, there are no specific rituals or steps you need to do once her vessel arrives, it is completely ready for use.
When at home and not wearing or carrying this vessel, it should be kept in a safe, secure, designated place, often referred to as the Area of Influence. This ideal area would be your Personal Sanctuary – your place of meditation, your altar.
