Ancient Egypt is such a fascinating place. It is every part as Magickal and exotic and you would imagine it to be, and then some. It is the origin birthplace of nearly all Magick that exists in the world today. It was from Egypt that the knowledge of the mysterious, scientific art of alchemy originated. The word 'alchemy' traces back from the Arabic word al-kīmiyā, which traces back to the ancient Egyptian name for Egypt, Khem, which also means “black earth", for the fertile soil by the Nile. The word for Magickal powers, spells, and sorcery was akhu.
This piece is all about Heka. In addition to being the word for Magick, when the word Heka is broken down, it means activation of the Ka. The Ka is part of the 3 bodies which make up who we are. There is the soul (Ba) which originates from the Sun, our physical body (Ha), and our life force (Ka), which is an invisible etheric counterpart to our body – this ‘self’ exists on another dimension, transparent to the physical eyes. The Ancient Egyptians called that dimension the Duat, but we’ll talk about that in a moment. When the Ka, Ba, and Ha are united and aligned, there is great Heka which is birthed, an intensely pure Magick that empowers the practitioner in ways that cannot be briefly summarized.
Some Creation Scientists propose the similarities between the Ba, Ha, and Ka, and the Holy Trinity.
To the Ancient Egyptians – who, were highly versed in the art of Magick – Magick, or, Heka, was an essential part of everyday life, just as much so as bathing and eating, and was used by people and Gods alike, from Pharaohs and Priests, Scribes and Soldiers, to Farmers and Craftspeople.
Now, Heka was treated and perceived differently than how most see Magick in our modern world. Heka was respected to the highest degree, as a divine gift and powerful force of manifestation. To the Ancient Egyptians, Heka was seen as a living, primordial power; an existent force that infuses and permeates all things. Personified as a God, Heka existed before humans, before all the Gods, before Creation itself, in the chasmic silentium of the cosmic waters, awaiting the first moment of Creation.
Heka varied as much then as it does today. Expressing the intent of the spell or ritual, there were methods that were pretty standard that most all people were familiar with, and grew up with seeing from their parents or Apprentice Masters from a young age, just as most people today are familiar with fairy tales from their childhood. There were some methods unique to families, much like family recipes being passed down from generation to generation. Most people had their preferences like anything else, some relying heavily upon spoken incantations, others with various preparations or tools, much like many use incense, candles, and crystals today.
The most Powerful Heka, however, uses no tools or supplies; it is not taught nor consciously learned from another person – it is Heka in its highest, purest form; Heka which comes from its origin, referred to as Heka-akh. It is a Sacred constant unlike any Magick you may have practiced or experienced. It is an atomic bomb of power that is completely and irrevocably infinite, adaptive, and transformative; boundless in its capacity. Just to give you a brief idea, a glimpse of the vast reach of power that Heka has, it is like the “size" of the Universe, the concept of infinity, or eternity, and of God himself.

This piece was made possible by a contact we have in a high place of privilege and authority, a leading researcher whom I refer to here as Dr. A. His knowledge is much deeper than what mainstream history lets the rest of the world know, as his discovery of the Tablets of Time from the OG Heliopolis depict the earliest documented text for astral projection and travel that I have ever seen. These allowed him to project and travel back to Ancient Heliopolis, and become one of the High Priests of Ra.
During a meeting with Dr. A, using the Tablets of Time, which you can read more details about in the Destiny Oculus listing here, we found Heka in Duat. This was not the first time I’d used the Tablets of Time with him, but the experience was just as exhilarating as the first, the words launching their orbit around me, into a suspended evanescence, that moment of awareness of the projective meditative state. The disconnect from my physical body begins as always, with my legs blanketed with an abstract invisibility, climbing through my torso, a warm and tranquil rippling tide that rushes over my head, then the riptide pulls me out of my physical body in a moment of perfect freedom. I could feel the present, the past and the future dissolving into fragments and recycled particles; all things that are, had ever been, and will ever be deconstructed, burning through the ozone of time and space, and then, there we were, in Duat.
We were in an open expanse of red, pinks, purples, oranges, yellow and gold, the colors were alive and moving, and in the center of my vision was this vibrant, glowing, pyramid shaped pool of light. I felt so more at peace, more connected, more whole, and at home than I had ever felt before in my life. It was a feeling of complete familiarity that I recognized, a feeling I knew I had felt before. Dr. A knew exactly what and how I was feeling, and I knew that he knew, and he knew that I knew he knew. It was this unspoken, fluid understanding I had never experienced before, and I knew, this was Heka. It is very hard to put into words that do it any kind of justice, really. Filled with Heka, Duat's very existence is Heka. It is a place of beauty, of vivid colors everywhere, that is everything, in a time that is all of time and none. Time is a concept that does not apply to the infinite. Time and space do not exist in Duat, not in the way humans perceive them to be. It is a plane of existence that supersedes any laws of physics. It is a Spiritual haven, a Magickal state.
I was able to look, to see, clearly, into all that I have ever been, because all of time does not exist in this Magickal place. I could see myself there, in Duat, on Earth, in dreams, in the astral plane, in lives before, I could see it clearly all together, I could even see myself as I was at that very “moment", in the figurative present. It was like a kaleidoscope into one’s own self.
We then felt ourselves drawn, like we were being called upon from somewhere, something, a force beckoning us. We stepped into the pyramid shaped pool of light, and we were instantly standing in this beautiful, surreal oasis of sorts, a cosmic oasis that I can best describe as a living Aurora borealis. This was the innermost sanctum, the core, the nucleus of Heka, of Heka-akh, and one of the most sacred places I can say I have ever been, one if the most divinely intense feelings of spiritual intensity I have ever felt; like spiritual serotonin. This is the very soul of all that is Magick, it is the pure, vital force of Heka.
It is this Heka from which all the Gods and Goddesses of Egypt became incarnate. In it, I could see clearly, all that Heka is, and all the beauty, happiness, love, understanding, wisdom, and truth that Heka is, and reveals.
